Ah yes the usual arguments, Airbus vs Boeing, 380 vs 777, size versus fuel burn, cargo capacity etc. and now....wait for it....wake turbulence!
Most of us don't care. We're just happy with the better rosters and lifestyle. For at least another 10 years. I can live with that.

Murrenfan,

yes, I agree, the 'boner' statement is unmistakeably childish.

Why sales of Boeing?s fabulous 777-300ER jet are stalled ? and may not pick up | The Seattle Times

With no orders for the 77x in the past 12 months. And only 306 sold with 150 of those destined for EK, and 85 divided between EY and QR. And only 8 773ERs in 2016, Airbus isn't the only one with empty production slots. Interesting times. Airlines seem shy to be spending near half a billion dollars for an airframe, regardless of what manufacturer puts its stamp on it.

Boeing actually killed its golden goose chasing ME3. When every analysis and A380 sale history suggest there is little market for VLA, Boeing wasting its money on B777X. $12 Billion for 300 frames. Of course there is always chapter 11.

I thought it was funny.

We were behind a super yesterday going to Europe. Every transmission to delivery ended in "super", the same with the tower, and departure. The funny part is how many radio calls they missed in Iran and Turkey... It was comical... Almost.

We all play for the same team, I'm happy the 380 guys get better rosters. The 330/340 guys have definitely done their time and deserve a break, but dial down the GOD complex, we all passed an interview and were put into a class based on the company's need and not our skill level. None of us designed either airframe. We do what we're told, fly where we are told to go, and constantly change procedures based on what the bosses say to do.

I just get a kick out of hearing the excitement of somebody saying "super" repeatedly when they don't have to.

It's just my opinion. I don't care if you agree or don't. That's the beauty of this forum. Do I really need to apologize for using the word "boner"? I will if it suits your frail ego. Big plane, small sense of humor.

Safe flying for all...

Although I must take offense (this IS EK, after all) about your comment re "we all play for the same team"

few of our colleagues prescribe to that statement. sad, really.
