Al-Maha Saudi Arabia

For those looking for a new challenge...

Al Maha Airways Careers - Current Opportunities

Airmann 7th Jun 2014 14:35

Any more info?

Salary?
Type of Contract?
I'm assuming ID travel will be the same as provided to QR staff?

mamamia 25th Jun 2014 16:00

GREAT when they are starting

Intruder One 25th Jun 2014 20:19

From the info they just sent me Dec 2014.I guess they will need to hire crews a month or two earlier.

migair54 26th Jun 2014 08:33

I heard that QR has offer to some crews to move to Al-Maha to get upgrade to captain and some people on the pool also has been offered to go to Al-Maha.

Itīs just a rumor, but I can imagine they will need quite a lot of people.

Are they starting with around 10 A320?? or that is the plan for the first few years??

mamamia 26th Jun 2014 19:59

how is the package

airborneksa 26th Jun 2014 20:40

The package is at par with flynas in KSA. Many flynas drivers looking to jump ship as al maha offers tickets on QR network which is a big advantage. Also heard, key people from flynas leaving to join Almaha like Y.S. director of training / academy for flynas. Seems to be a good move to almaha

mamamia 28th Jun 2014 16:30

but I guess flynass they have better days off but is it easy to transfer the residency between companies in Saudi

airborneksa 28th Jun 2014 20:22

I dont think it would be possible to change while being within the country

mutt 29th Jun 2014 14:06

I dont think it would be possible to change while being within the country
It's legal, but it needs willing participants :) Also beware that some embassies still apply the 1 year restriction on someone returning to a similar job even though this is no longer a requirement.

lost_pilot 29th Jun 2014 19:34

Aint Al Maha launched by QR , even if you look at the QR career page you will find postings for Al Maha ...

airborneksa 30th Jun 2014 12:02

Just heard Non commuting, terms valid only for 1 year. seems they are not sure what they are doing.

Intruder One 30th Jun 2014 20:03

non commuting...:{ that's too bad,was hoping they would allow some type of rotation especially in Saudi..oh well maybe they will change the terms before they start.

mutt 1st Jul 2014 06:02

non commuting.
Wow..... so do they actually expect crew to last more than 1 year:)

VijayMallya 1st Jul 2014 07:53

Mutt you beat me to it

airborneksa 1st Jul 2014 09:25

Seems they need crew just for 1 year as terms will change after 1 year.

Simplythebeast 1st Jul 2014 09:37

" We are committed to create and develop a rich working environment, where Saudi Nationals are developed to their full potential."
Is that an indication of how conditions for expats may pan out?

jack.jones 3rd Jul 2014 02:21

A friend working with QR told me that the working conditions will almost be the same as with RAK...almost...

Non commuting is standard and not negotiable. Looks like a great part from the crew will come from QR's A320/A330 fleet. (FO's on A330 become skippers on A320 if they want to transfer.)

Hold or have held a GACA license
Interesting requirement.... that only opens it for Saudia, NAS, Alpha Star crew, and all of these offer better deals with at least some time off.

Cross Wind 320 4th Jul 2014 11:53

What about the other departments...?

Cabin Crew and Ground Staff

Intruder One 4th Jul 2014 17:38

Had a agent call me yesterday about this one from PARC.Told him I had already been contacted by the airline but he said they were going to recruit for them.He verified there will be no rotation. We both agreed that's going to be tough out of Saudi. He said he warned them on this item but they want to run it like Qatar. They need to understand no rotation in Qatar is one thing,Saudi is a different situation all together.....I wish them luck

mutt 4th Jul 2014 20:22

They need to understand no rotation in Qatar is one thing,Saudi is a different situation all together.
The other issue is that the money isn't really that good. (Circa 100K UK)

londoncalling2009 5th Jul 2014 08:01

Money

The pay package will be pretty much exactly the same as the Qatar one including the housing allowance.

Airmann 5th Jul 2014 09:41

Is Jeddah cheaper than Doha? How is the fly nas contract in relation to the current QR contract?

Intruder One 5th Jul 2014 15:58

At least Flynas has some rotation so you can get out of Saudi once in awhile.....every month or two I think

londoncalling2009 6th Jul 2014 04:41

Contract

Anyone signed the contract for Al Maha yet or get start dates?

airborneksa 6th Jul 2014 08:19

No contracta because No one is Interested:O

Cair117 6th Jul 2014 10:36

Currently FlyNas has a Full time, 20/10 schedule and also a 6/3 schedule grandfathered to pilots already are on it... 6/3 is currently not offered.. but with people quitting... This may change

Cross Wind 320 7th Jul 2014 10:37

is a GACA license mandatory?

what Aramco aviation? what type of license do they require? faa

zizoufly 15th Jul 2014 17:52

INTERVIEW 23RD JULY IN DOHA

I received my flight tickets from Paris to Doha to attend to the interview on 23rd of july in Doha. It is for a cabin crew position. They also provide us the hotel ect.. I can't wait to know all the conditions, i hope it will be interesting enough. Anyone is going to attend to this interview?

Leboeuf 16th Jul 2014 06:43

Gaca license it's an advantage because it takes around 3 months of training if u pass it at the first try.
I got a phone call from an agency, and they comfirmed is NON communting contract because they want to keep the same profile as Qr.

jack s 16th Jul 2014 09:45

M.B. is running the show...ask anyone at Cebu on the mess he created there..cabin crew were not safety trained.:=:=

no sig 5th Sep 2014 14:34

Contrary to what you may read, Al Maha are in fact looking to provide a commuting roster as part of their contracts, details not yet finalised. But there is a recognition that for Saudi commuting rosters need to be part of the package for flight crew. Once I have more details on that I'll post them up here.

Al Maha

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum. I am here because I have been interviewed for a Supply Chain managerial position for Al Maha Airways. I have read the previous posts and would like to know more, specifically regarding salary, allowances. I have no Idea how it works in the Middle east and before I am asked my expectation I would like to know whats generally on offer. I dont know when QA offers so I cant really ask will it be more or less than QA.. so any info will be appreciated.

Secondly if any one can comment on the strategic significance of Al Maha? How promising it is expected to be?

Looking forward to hearing from you all

Intruder One 8th Sep 2014 17:45

I had a interview that was scheduled the first of Sept.I could not attend so it was resch later.I'm sure someone has intervewed already.Any info would be nice, especially about the rotation if there is one.

If and when I do go I will post the details. It would be nice to know the details beforehand but if not its a free interview so I will go take a look

Non Type Rated 320 F/O

Hi,

If anyone could shed light on the possibility of Al Maha Airways coming up an Ad for Non Type Rated 320 First Officers?

Regards.

mutt 14th Sep 2014 04:39

Non Type Rated 320 First Officers?
Do you mean non-type rated with hours or without hours?
I would imagine that if they are planning to take people with low hours, they will have to take Saudi Nationals first, otherwise they will have problems getting the required visas.

sumair 14th Sep 2014 06:59

Do you mean non-type rated with hours or without hours?

Hi Mutt,

I mean non type rated First Officers with prior experience, but no 320 rating. For example something like 1500 Total Time, 1000 multi jet time, Atpl/ Atpl frozen etc.

Do you think they might come up with a recruitment for NTR FO's? I am assuming they may not get enough applicants for Al Maha. Just my guess.

Intruder One 19th Sep 2014 13:18

Nothing...........ok how about terms......anything??? Someone must have interviewed there by now.

castaneda320 23rd Oct 2014 20:16

package similar to this...
