crewmeal 6th Sep 2013 05:43

Only 47 passengers? Not a very profitable trip for EK.

three eighty 6th Sep 2013 07:13

The way I read it the 47 passengers were on the GOL aircraft not the Emirates aircraft

crewmeal 6th Sep 2013 07:26

I stand corrected, I misread it through the early morning haze :ugh:

You guys are incredible. An EK wingtip collides into the tail of another aircraft and you're discussing passenger numbers.
At least turn it into an Airbus vs Boeing debate if you want to thread drift.
:ugh:

To be fair, it looks more like Boeing vs Boeing, imagine if it was a 320 rather than a 73, just look at the damage in MEL recently, a 320 would have been a write off :E

Upper and lower rudder

Maybe there's a provision on 737 NG CDL that make possible to operate with "split rudders", a la 727! :E

I wonder if the PIC will get the pink slip or the green slip?

Mister Warning 6th Sep 2013 16:45

All I know is "fatigue" will not be an issue. That will be determined before the investigation begins.

Parking

I love this forum..... Not! Some mature and sensible facts would be much appreciated ie was the GOL parked correctly, was the EK aircraft on the taxiway centreline was there sufficient room for both aircraft on said parking stand! I think you get my drift!
