Bahrain's Airport Expansion???

Do you think this will really happen? Cos it sure would be nice to have a decent airport here. Especially since GF will have a lot more planes

First time I see any mention of a new runway. Everything I've seen hitherto shows only a new terminal being built on the west side of the ramp

That's the plan for the new Bahrain airport in 2025 'ish. The land and landfill area is already identified and consultants have been defining the layout etc for over a year.

That's can't be real.... must be a JOKE...

They hardly built an emergency runway, with absolutly no use. Any expansion plan is useless. They should go for a new Airport south of bahrain, near Durrat.

Bahrain airport should'nt be part of Bahrain, it can only compete Khartoom's airport. :mad:
