baob2oba 27th Apr 2008 15:30

= 8 weeks ?..

GoreTex 27th Apr 2008 16:48

I know how much we get from a reliable source, ITS NOT ENOUGH

puff m'call 27th Apr 2008 17:21

If you're off on the 30th take life easy, stay at home and put your feet up because you deserve your days off.:ok:

Your can read on the portal, or even here! how little you're going to get, you really won't be missing anything at all.

It won't change things by being there, and the buffet really is no better than what your wife can knock up for lunch, as you well know in emirates, if it's free it's going to be crap!!!:ugh:

Sheikh-It-Easy 27th Apr 2008 18:59

Great idea!

BigGeordie 28th Apr 2008 07:18

I think Thylakoid is correct in how the profit share is calculated. However, as we get more employees we should make more profit so the profit share shouldn't go down because of that.

However, I think it is all just smoke and mirrors anyway and it will be "adjusted" by the bean counters to as little as they feel they can get away with without mass resignations.

How does 5 weeks sound?

oz in dxb 28th Apr 2008 07:35

I personally think it will be 12 weeks (a big one) and then the end of profit share/bonus. Rumours are that we will be given shares in the company.

clevlandHD 28th Apr 2008 10:17

12 weeks sounds right. 10% pay rise, maybe less. All other perks will get official inflation( one third of reality).

MumbaiRadio 28th Apr 2008 12:28

11 weeks, 7%+3% on basic, variable pay doubled... the usual 'well informed' say.

Rabbitwear 28th Apr 2008 17:11

6 weeks and no payrise , maybe a reduction in flight pay. The aviation boom cycle is always very short.

halas 28th Apr 2008 18:30

LOL Love it :D

halas

GoreTex 28th Apr 2008 18:32

eklawyer, cant agree more with you, guess the other boys are still on their honeymoon.

Check 'Six' 28th Apr 2008 20:57

EK Lawyer, you are a beaut! I pissed myself laughing. Brilliant.

Ok here goes! 12 weeks bonus. 3% + 9% on basic, + 100% on flight pay. Overtime 650 for Skippers and 390 for FO's. 12% 0n Utilities.

Check 'Six'

GoreTex 28th Apr 2008 22:53

6,
if not I stick ze bajonett in ze head

bobsback 29th Apr 2008 04:56

My twopence worth!

8 weeks, 5% + increment. No increase on flight pay. Utilities maybe 7%

see if I'm wrong!

BIKKERDENNAH 29th Apr 2008 07:24

5 weeks bonus, 7 perc plus 3 perc,20k aed increase in utilities,OT 500 aed per hour but with an increased threshold to say 83 hours.. 65 aed per hour flight pay,new joiners higher utility allowance than existing pilot workforce to entice them to take rented accom or to buy straight from the outset!! (You guys like that one;)), 10 percent inc in education allowance. Meal vouchers... IF YOU DONT LIKE IT LEAVE YOU LAZY PILOTS.............:ok:

flyhigh88 29th Apr 2008 09:45

Singapore airlines will be announcing thier bonus and profit share pretty soon.heard that it will be 28 week just like last year and maybe more.

Rabbitwear 29th Apr 2008 10:02

You guys are in for a very rude shock if you think there will be any payrise.

oz in dxb 29th Apr 2008 12:11

SQ gives nice big profit share because they pay it on your basic pay, like EK.
However your base pay at SQ is a lot lower than our base pay. You make your extras from your flying pay which is a lot higher than ours.

I would think that SQs 28 weeks is equavalent to us getting 14 weeks. Maybe not precise but close.

TangoUniform 29th Apr 2008 13:47

Not even close.
If you take their basic s$9300/mo = s$2325/wk 2325X28=s$65100 s$65100x.75= USD$48825 (with 10% taxes then $43942)

30,700AED basic for yr one or two B777 capt per month
30,700AED/mo=7675/wk 7675AEDx14=107450AED
107450AED/3.69=USD$29120

Easier way to work it is their US dollar amount per week is $1743.
Ek dollar amount per week using 3.69 is $2079.

They make about 16% less on the basic...but, they get paid 13 mo's plus last year 24 weeks which nets 28 weeks. But they do pay a 10% tax.

Scary stuff to put one's limited math skills on display. So if I made any glaring mistakes, blame it on too much sun and sand in my eyes...
