AHHHHHHHHH!!
More smoke to be thrown in with the mirrors just before the pay review. Keep your eyes on the ball peoples. Another shafting is in the wind i think!!:D |
With the Alitalia problems maybe the new low cost airline will have a certain Italian flavour!!!
|
Wrong.....Look at the package and ABY is way behind EK.
|
A whole new aviation era comes to Dubai:ok:
HRH Sheikh Maktoum (did I spell that right?) has a way of making his business plans successful..and getting the job done..reflecting back to what EK was when I turned up here in the Gulf circa 1991....."if you can't lick 'em join 'em" get ready boys the words have been spoken...it's a done deal:ok: |

As anyone who flys the 777 knows, it's spelt haemorrhoids (UK) or hemorroids (US).

Dubai New Airline
:DEK has always done good in a hub-and-spoke business model and they want to continue with this model using Emirates. Im sure they thought of new airline in order to use low cost model for point-to-point pax, in order to compete with the low cost carriers around. Smart thinking but need to be careful!
|
At last TCAS has an airline he can use his BA fuel policy to good effect on :E
|
they have the cash to play and learn.
|
Ahhhh, but think of all those hundreds and hundreeds of applications they have on file from people without the required experience for EK. They'll be the ones getting the call...
|
LR3. For FO they will always find enough pilots. You can allways lower req and call turboprop guys and that will solve the problem. I guess they will not have the same 4000 TT and 2000 Jet req as Emirates. With 1000 or 2000 TT, 500 turboprop you will always find people. But if they pretend to hiler 4000 TT, 2000 Jet guys for FO, yes, they could face a shortage.
DEC would be a real problem. Expats A320 and B737 commaners are in high demand with 8 to 12 K in the pocket and 2 months on, 1 off commuting contracts plus benefits. They will fly 737NG or A320? |
yes, I know. A commuting contract 2 on 1 off like in India, China, Japan, something like Korean Airlines could solve lots of problems for a DEC position. EK has direct flights to most capitals so commuting rapidly should not be a problem. But for some strange reason EK is not very open minded in commuting.
Unfortunately, I wont happen. |
Lol
This is a big jooke! every low cost airline started by a flag carrier has lost money big times, look at United's Ted, failed miserably.
Hope they got a damn good business plan to back up those claims. |
when you sit on trillions of reserves and the sheik dont care, any business plan is fine.
He wants a low cost airline in dubai and he is going to have it. Beside that for what I read The airlines is going to operate separate from Emirates. |
Emirates
There was a report published by MEEDS two years ago with prediction that Emirates will experience throat-cut competition with presence of new airlines, which has come by true. Thus, the answer for another State-pampered airline is “monopoly”.
Regional airlines must not claim excellence as long as they are government-owned carriers and received unlimited financial, operational and dominance support. Bravo Dubai’s Shaiks. You are good in nothing except monopoly. |
