Why thread is removed

Sorry but why did moderator removed the GF fo fired thread . Thanks:confused:

B. Bonga 11th Mar 2008 13:47

I think someones's demise especially a workmate doesn't make Pprune material. Worse of, if certain individuals hijack the thread to fan "ethnic cleansing", racism and any other such malicious -ism's................. Nice one "Hatchet-Man" ..............

jackbauer 11th Mar 2008 13:56

The individual concerned has had it coming for a long time. GF should have given him his marching orders a long time ago. His mouth was bigger than his log book and his shoulder was too short for all the stripes he wanted to wear.

Joe Monsoon 11th Mar 2008 14:45

Nice one jack :).

ironbutt57 11th Mar 2008 14:45

Pls Brassy...dont start fires without fuel they just flame out...I know nothing about this fellow other than who he is...but rest assured his departure had nothing to do with any connundrum in the training dept.

B. Bonga 11th Mar 2008 14:55

Being that as it may, insinuating that he was fired/terminated on grounds of "ethnic cleansing" is rather irresponsible on anybody's part:ugh:.........and sending the wrong message on what goes on at Gulf Air:) P.S am not in management:E but the last thing we want is a situation of them and us. Sensationalising a story or an event for the purposes of soliciting replies on Pprune is downright insane

Sal-e 11th Mar 2008 17:20

In my year and a bit at GF, I have had nothing but the best of help from the Bahraini colleagues. To have anyone make outrageous accusations is beyond me. LMAO at JBs description of the said individual. There is a few of those in every airline I'm afraid. Thankfully, not many at GF. Otherwise, dolce vita @ Gulf Air.

B. Bonga 11th Mar 2008 17:38

JB - "Jack" Bonga
IB - "Iron" Bonga and of course
BB - Bonga Bonga
we cousins so to speak.................:D

falcon24 11th Mar 2008 19:44

Warbirds 11th Mar 2008 20:00

err, you might want to ask the hosties on that one!!!!:E

REACH-69 11th Mar 2008 22:48

i do agree with what JB said............:ok:

Maybe the answer is here, (last post, from Admin):

brassplate 12th Mar 2008 04:44

defend all you want, boys. i'm am only echoing a rumour, not starting one. this doesn't involve all instructors but a couple who happen to be nationals. talk to the eurobrats and find out the facts firsthand before raising defences for the sake of a couple of bad apples.

Chuck Y 12th Mar 2008 09:23

brassplate, I thought you were off to "off to land of the rising sun" since you can't take us locals anymore?
Anyway what do you think about the racist advertising for the F1 grand prix? ''Our Race" pasted all over Bahrain must really get your blood boiling.

brassplate 12th Mar 2008 17:14

a little off topic Chucky but since you did some investigating, let me answer your jab. i decided to stay, Chuckles, because like your numerous lady friends, i'm so in love with you and your money. i said "show me the money" and you "showed me the money".
and by the way, it is gf that said "our grand prix". i can claim something in that wouldn't you say?

falcon24 12th Mar 2008 18:51

Guys get back on truck:=

FCOM-5 13th Mar 2008 11:38

Gulf Air cheEp or Gulf Air staff cheAp?

Reading so much about this in this post rises the question if Gulf Air as a company is behaving extremly cheep or if the staff working there has some serious attitude problems. I am Gulf Air staff and DO NOT want to be part of this.

Whatever someone does should not be discussed in a public forum espescially if the information is sensitive and can harm more than the guy himself. Has anyone thought, that the airlines or manufacturers mentioned in this post might face legal actions because of some rumors. Authorities meight be forced to act on such accusations at least with an investigation which will cause inconveniences to many people and companies including Gulf Air.

Maybe this could backfire much more, than some stupid hypocrite people banging their head 5 times a day on the floor think!

Rumors, rumors, rumors... well how about:
- the old CEO was shagging his secretary....fiction or reality?
- the former chief pilot got sacked without full pay of his early retirement because he sold confidential information to the new competitor....fiction or reality?
- the guys leaving soon to european flag carriers will not have to pay back their bonds because they all will jumpship and canīt be prosecuted according european law....fiction or reality?
- the new chief pilot and some of his new team are selling confidetial information to his home country which will start soon a wide body operation....fiction or reality?
- the training department is corrupt and accepts money from local pilots joining the abinitio selection proccess....fiction or reality?
- the expat (and especially european) pilots are slowly phased out to make space for more bahraini people and far east pilots who shut their mouth and tollerate the managments unfair practices........fiction or reality?
- all Gulf Air cabin crew are actually prostitudes and only there to have a CPR (residet permit) to work overtime and earn solid money on the saudi habibis....fiction or reality?
- Gulf Air is the best airline in the Gulf....fiction or reality?
- everyone is extreamly happy beeing a part of this blooming and expanding leading Gulf flagship airline....fiction or reality?

There is a lot of dirty laundry out there, but should we really go down to that level and discuss these internal and sometimes sensitive information with the rest of the world. We are all from different background and cultures. Yes, we live as guest in Bahrain and should respect the local traditions. But if some people get out of control by accussing and damaging many people and companies, than it should be Gulf Air itself as a company to stop this and discipine their staff. Otherwise the company is not much better, than the staff doing this.

No need to comment further...

:=THANXS!:=

Che Guevara 13th Mar 2008 12:59

Can't wait to see the responses to this one...(no need to comment further...yeah right!)

Chao

Propellor 13th Mar 2008 13:10

Wonder if our new poster is really not in GF and that he is an expat - his post suggests otherwise.

Che Guevara 13th Mar 2008 13:45

Propellor

Agree, the syntax is a dead giveaway....

Hasta luego

brassplate 13th Mar 2008 14:27

IT IS ALL TRUE!!!!! don't be so shocked:eek:, this happens a lot in the region.
i do agree that we shouldn't air our dirty laundry. but what if you were on the recieveing end of mal-treatment? what if you were unable to defend yourself? what if there's gross abuse of power by management? what if management who head accountability systems are as corrupt?
these types hate mediums like pprune.

Propellor 13th Mar 2008 20:49

The story of 'ifs' and 'buts':
"If my Grandfather was a woman, would she be my Grandmother?"

ironbutt57 13th Mar 2008 21:01

Conundrums happen in the aviation "region" industry...it's not limited to the middle east..anytime someone has a problem maintaining/obtaining proficiency, accusations fly, and the training dept. inevitably gets the blame from the trainee/customer involved..eg:..one of our recently departed colleagues on whom many hours of exhaustive training was spent...on the TWO type ratings he eventually recieved from the airline, has done nothing but blame our dept. for his woes..good luck to him and his new employer just a few clicks east of here..what makes it worse, are the racist tones raised here by brassy...who seems to have some chip on his shoulder...

brassplate 13th Mar 2008 23:25

IB. absolutely no racism, no shoulder chips, just facts. i was adding to FCOM 5's elaborations in post #18. i am not in anyway defending the dual-rated bond jumping rat you mentioned.
i like your choice of words IB. conundrums? at least you agree. but by diluting the issues by calling them that sounds defensive. at least i say what i mean and mean what i say. visit HR and you will see one of many reasons i've become who i am.

Joe Monsoon 1st Aug 2008 23:53

So can i ask one more time Sorry why did moderator removed the GF fo fired thread AND brassplate as well as others stay away from all the LOCAL ARE THIS AND THAT:E

vfroverthetop 2nd Aug 2008 11:32

As some of you may know I am leaving but to be honest. The training department is one of the few shinning lights in GF. They have lots of other problems (the airline) but bias against Ex-pats is not one of them. I have to agree with Sal-E the locals have been nothing but welcoming to us Ex-pats and I am really sad to say good bye well atleast to the flying frat!

parabellum 2nd Aug 2008 11:37

And once again, if you go here, last post, you have your answer:

http://www.pprune.org/forums/middle-...-fo-fired.html

You can reasonably assume that the required hard evidence did not come in so, to avoid a possible libel suit, Admin withdrew the thread. There now, that wasn't hard, was it?

Joe Monsoon 2nd Aug 2008 14:51

A GERMAN man has been arrested for allegedly using false documents to secure a job as a senior airline pilot, a Sri Lankan his all over news mate things have changed ,its 2 airlines how many more do you need as evidence:sad:

repapips 2nd Aug 2008 19:58

JM

I guess the one in Sri Lanka is a different guy, though German as well...

parabellum 3rd Aug 2008 00:01

"allegedly using false documents" - Your words, not mine and an allegation isn't evidence.

Removed thread

Would someone be kind enough to PM me with what the deleted thread said?
Or at least what the allegation was/is ? :bored: I'm a wee bit lost
