I think someones's demise especially a workmate doesn't make Pprune material. Worse of, if certain individuals hijack the thread to fan "ethnic cleansing", racism and any other such malicious -ism's................. Nice one "Hatchet-Man" ..............

The individual concerned has had it coming for a long time. GF should have given him his marching orders a long time ago. His mouth was bigger than his log book and his shoulder was too short for all the stripes he wanted to wear.

Pls Brassy...dont start fires without fuel they just flame out...I know nothing about this fellow other than who he is...but rest assured his departure had nothing to do with any connundrum in the training dept.

Being that as it may, insinuating that he was fired/terminated on grounds of "ethnic cleansing" is rather irresponsible on anybody's part.........and sending the wrong message on what goes on at Gulf Air P.S am not in management but the last thing we want is a situation of them and us. Sensationalising a story or an event for the purposes of soliciting replies on Pprune is downright insane

In my year and a bit at GF, I have had nothing but the best of help from the Bahraini colleagues. To have anyone make outrageous accusations is beyond me. LMAO at JBs description of the said individual. There is a few of those in every airline I'm afraid. Thankfully, not many at GF. Otherwise, dolce vita @ Gulf Air.

defend all you want, boys. i'm am only echoing a rumour, not starting one. this doesn't involve all instructors but a couple who happen to be nationals. talk to the eurobrats and find out the facts firsthand before raising defences for the sake of a couple of bad apples.

brassplate, I thought you were off to "off to land of the rising sun" since you can't take us locals anymore?
Anyway what do you think about the racist advertising for the F1 grand prix? ''Our Race" pasted all over Bahrain must really get your blood boiling.

a little off topic Chucky but since you did some investigating, let me answer your jab. i decided to stay, Chuckles, because like your numerous lady friends, i'm so in love with you and your money. i said "show me the money" and you "showed me the money".
and by the way, it is gf that said "our grand prix". i can claim something in that wouldn't you say?

Gulf Air cheEp or Gulf Air staff cheAp?

Reading so much about this in this post rises the question if Gulf Air as a company is behaving extremly cheep or if the staff working there has some serious attitude problems. I am Gulf Air staff and DO NOT want to be part of this.

Whatever someone does should not be discussed in a public forum espescially if the information is sensitive and can harm more than the guy himself. Has anyone thought, that the airlines or manufacturers mentioned in this post might face legal actions because of some rumors. Authorities meight be forced to act on such accusations at least with an investigation which will cause inconveniences to many people and companies including Gulf Air.

Maybe this could backfire much more, than some stupid hypocrite people banging their head 5 times a day on the floor think!

Rumors, rumors, rumors... well how about:
- the old CEO was shagging his secretary....fiction or reality?
- the former chief pilot got sacked without full pay of his early retirement because he sold confidential information to the new competitor....fiction or reality?
- the guys leaving soon to european flag carriers will not have to pay back their bonds because they all will jumpship and canīt be prosecuted according european law....fiction or reality?
- the new chief pilot and some of his new team are selling confidetial information to his home country which will start soon a wide body operation....fiction or reality?
- the training department is corrupt and accepts money from local pilots joining the abinitio selection proccess....fiction or reality?
- the expat (and especially european) pilots are slowly phased out to make space for more bahraini people and far east pilots who shut their mouth and tollerate the managments unfair practices........fiction or reality?
- all Gulf Air cabin crew are actually prostitudes and only there to have a CPR (residet permit) to work overtime and earn solid money on the saudi habibis....fiction or reality?
- Gulf Air is the best airline in the Gulf....fiction or reality?
- everyone is extreamly happy beeing a part of this blooming and expanding leading Gulf flagship airline....fiction or reality?

There is a lot of dirty laundry out there, but should we really go down to that level and discuss these internal and sometimes sensitive information with the rest of the world. We are all from different background and cultures. Yes, we live as guest in Bahrain and should respect the local traditions. But if some people get out of control by accussing and damaging many people and companies, than it should be Gulf Air itself as a company to stop this and discipine their staff. Otherwise the company is not much better, than the staff doing this.

No need to comment further...

THANXS!

Wonder if our new poster is really not in GF and that he is an expat - his post suggests otherwise.
