He accepted a job with one of the sickest airlines in the world right now, what more do you need to know? Obviously desperate for a job!

ironbutt57 21st Aug 2007 06:24

Or keen for a challenge!!! He'll certainly get one of those:ooh:

Chris Caine has been our VP ops in EY for a couple of weeks, then kicked out for political reasons. He ''resigned'' then joined EK as far as I know...
Hell of a nice guy to me.

point8four 21st Aug 2007 07:42

Sounds like he's been around, political reasons at EY I understand. Why did he leave EK(if he was indeed there) - for career advancement (GF?). I suppose every bicycle needs a set of handlebars.

Obviously desperate for a job!
How do you know?

ironbutt57 21st Aug 2007 08:45

Unless he knows something none of the rest of us do, lets take the positive approach and let the chips fall where they may...

a- His flying background
British trained, then flew for swissair for a long time

b- His management background
Deputy chief pilot Fokker100 (I believe) with swissair
then, I thought VP Training with EY (for a very short while)

c- Personality
Hell of a nice guy and a real gentleman. A pleasure to fly with. Hope he's not being shafted there!!

d- Any more info….
Obviously leaving EK for a new challenge. I am sure he is good news for you guys at GF (as good as it can get:ok:)
All the best for you Chris!! Keep the blue side up.

Chris Cain was indeed at EY. - He is a great guy. As far as I know he was Chief Pilot on the fokker at Swissair and in management and training for many years. When he was head of training at EY I found him to be very fair and approachable. I know he went to EK and was very happy there so perhaps he's gone to GF for the challenge?!
Good luck Chris!
