He accepted a job with one of the sickest airlines in the world right now, what more do you need to know? Obviously desperate for a job!

Chris Caine has been our VP ops in EY for a couple of weeks, then kicked out for political reasons. He ''resigned'' then joined EK as far as I know...
Hell of a nice guy to me.

Sounds like he's been around, political reasons at EY I understand. Why did he leave EK(if he was indeed there) - for career advancement (GF?). I suppose every bicycle needs a set of handlebars.

Unless he knows something none of the rest of us do, lets take the positive approach and let the chips fall where they may...

Chris Cain was indeed at EY. - He is a great guy. As far as I know he was Chief Pilot on the fokker at Swissair and in management and training for many years. When he was head of training at EY I found him to be very fair and approachable. I know he went to EK and was very happy there so perhaps he's gone to GF for the challenge?!
Good luck Chris!
