Emirates turboprop time
hello all, EK has been advertising for non type rated FO position on the B777 for people with heavy turboprop time. Anyone that can shed some light on how realistic this is ? or are they just opening it up to build a hold pool for later ? They used to have the exact same requirements in the past but stopped and seem to have restarted again. I get it that they would rather hire people with Boeing Airbus time than NTR's but them opening requirement up would mean something right ?
thanks for all the replies in advance,
cheers

COVID resulted in a lot of early retirements, people leaving the industry and others deciding not to train as pilots. The bounce back has been better than expected which has left many operators a bit short.
Lower minimum requirements simply reflect this, if there is a glut of pilots on the market then they’ll be wanting 2000 hours minimum on an A320/B737.
