the article says 90% of network but not anywhere close to the frequencies
also it mentions 600 pilots - which means 1/3 of the redundant should know about their future - but they don’t, so-far it’s a hand full.
it also shows that they don’t care who they hire as long they meet the numbers
in general the article says nothing about the possible individual future and if this is not typical propaganda a lot of redundant should have a letter in hands saying “yes u will return, but the actual starting date might shift due to demand “, but that’s exactly what’s missing, which means they are not very keen on focusing on ex EK staff, just on filling the numbers to get 100 whales back in the air
7x looks into a long delay and 350 due to large backlog in orders not coming any sooner too.
strategicly bringing back all ex ek in the order they where before, would solve a lot of man power struggle they are running into right now, but that would require respect and loyalty in the first place, which these people have never heard of

they know that a lot of returners are not bringing family again, and putting them at the end of the list means they separate families unless they feel forced to breakup everything at home again, they don’t won’t people to commute and don’t want to just to such a need. The only reason is to squeeze out the max and beyond the possibilities.

yet alone the hiring idea of HH will put a lot of pressure on the workforce as the will be unable to fulfill that demand nor will the training requirement be possible

but that’s just my 50c on it

>>> it also shows that they don’t care who they hire as long they meet the numbers <<<

I'm afraid it was ever thus. It's big business and you're only a cog, no matter what effort or extra mile you put in for your employer.
If ATP licences had two pins that they could plug into those two front seats, they would.
You're an expensive necessity who's needed to make the aircraft legal, that's all.
Loyalty begins at home, to your family.
Remember that and you'll get on fine !

agree, but love and air doesn’t pay rent and food
the said part is that the time spent at ek is not just a waste of time, it’s also a hugh loss to your life. As there are a lot Pilots properly won’t find an aviation job, or anything at all, these people have lost nearly everything for the rest of their lives. That’s a thing where ek is fully responsible not making any carefully deceison on how the have and will handle this pandemic.
large bussiness does not mean you have to be ruthless, insanely in- human and not thinking carefully into responsibilities towards employees
all things, a certain sir, his buddy further up and a miserable old man a step lower never heard of
hard and strict is one thing - unfair and just because u can a different one

Ek has done well - the question is could they have done better with a different mindset
well without trying you won’t find out but those mentioned three are so narrow minded by themself they would not change and the entire organization reflects their attitude and mindset
“yes sayers” from top to bottom a culture of fear and a personal fear of loosing control by simplifying their own doing - old dogs don’t learn - not new

My fantasies don't involve men @ftbfl

I may well only make Level 5 when I have to go for the retest at the Academy soon time soon! Nothing like native speakers being tested by non-native speakers heh?
