Qatar Airway's New A-320 Technical Pilot.

I heard that the new A-320 technical pilot at Qatar is a check airman from the U.S.A, that just got hired recently .
Anyone that could shed some light on the subject is appreciated.
To my knowladge he might be the first American hired by Qatar.

Somehow i dont think that PPrune is the place to discuss individuals.......... If this guy/gal is the first American to QR, then good luck to him/her.

Cool Calm Down....

Hey Mutt.
Somehow it seems that my question didn't go well with you,but the reason Im asking is that every now and then poeple talk about the nationalitys of the pilot group at Qatar Airways and I have noticed that none of the desscusions included Americans,So my point is to find out if American pilots are welcomed at Qatar Airways(since my goal down the road is to work for QR). Also I have noticed other poeple talking about individuals such as the CEOand the GM ect , So I don't really see a problem with my question.

Fly Safe

A320 Technical Man

The A320 Man of which you speak is in reality a Palastenian Holding an American Passport. Not the First at Qatar Airways. had a similar guy before holding American Passport and left in big scandal few Months ago.
History repeats itself!!!!!!!!

Even so, this wouldn't be the firest American working there...back in the mid-90's there were a few American Training Captains on the old 727 fleet...

Has this American come to Qatar via a twelve year stay in Australia, like quite a few other new joiners to Qatar?

I don't think it really matters, does it.

Can't understand where this thread is going. Who cares whether the guy is first, second or third generation American??

"A330man", to quite a few people, the answer to "Spad's" question really does matter.

Dear Fubaar

Sorry Fubaar. You are correct in your last statement. I can now see the relevance of the question.

I believe the answer to Spad's question is NO.

Sorry.
