Drug testing in the ME

What are the rules for melatonin/sleep aiding medication and alcohol in the ME for crew? In europe it is acknowledged that melatonin and alcohol are allowed with 12 hours before departure time. Is it approved in the ME countries aswell? (I understand not all ME countries allow alcohol).

It works like this:

You will no longer need Melatonin or any other sleep medications because the roster will provide you plenty of fatigue and sleep deprivation by design. The roster, as well as many other frustrating circumstances about DXB and EK will have a tendency to turn your affections to alcohol, some people even drink when they return home from a 14 hours duty day at 0630!

You should be aware that popping sleeping pills and downing them with alcohol is generally not tolerated with 12 hours of duty, within 14 hours of duty in a non duty departure unless operating under Annex "A" while hanging your coat on the top hook, before rest, after lunch, unless you write your letter home, if your not getting your hair cut in the company of another colleague, then have your brother move his clothes to the lower peg. See the "Duty Limitations" chapter in the OMA for further confusion.
