I mean the insurance/savings scheme that used to be LIPS.

I was was happy with it before they screwed around with it. Now I’m seriously considering quitting it like everyone else has.

Adam Barfy, No it isn't just you. The whole thing is turning from what should have been a promising mutual assistance scheme into a farce. Like you, I'm looking at alternatives.

Same here, was happy but now searching for new company, any recommendations for someone 48 years old, I know APPN is a good insurance but max age to join them is 45 unless they changed it recently.

Can't find any other schemes that will cover you for more than 5 years. API is over but you still get your 5 years protection underwritten by Lloyds through Baymac and this hasn't changed.

So now its just Baymac not LIPS/API, and your cover is just the 5 years through Baymac? No longer the coverage till 65?

Yes, from what I've seen monthly payments til you're 65 is over. Too many medical losses claims and not enough cash to support them.
