Dudley, I am happy Yes... that I left!
Finished contract with SV and it took me 3 months to get over it after returning home (not to mention getting my $$ paid & out of there!).
It's a VERY different place SV, to any other Arab Country, so think long and hard before heading there!

Left 6 month ago after 15 years in the sandpit. Been there done that sort of a feeling. Still flying long haul left seat but got my freedom back....I would do it again but Dubai and EK are not for everyone. Be very careful with your decision as today’s T/C are not getting any better. Good luck anyway.

Joined with 7 other Boeing guys, all FO onto T7. 2 already left, 3 actively looking to leave (interviews and sims done). Lost contact other 2... just under 4 years in sandpit.
I don’t find Dubai a particularly happy place at present. Perhaps it’s just been a long summer....
