Real reason why enough is enough
this is is why I left the UAE......the calming almost ZEN like transformation that rain and forest brings to ones life...enough said.
already spent too many years in the desert and missing out on one of life’s amazing experiences.
i told my wife...it’s time to return back to the easy going life style before it’s too late!
probably the best decision i will make in my lifetime.

At least a sh!t day at home means you're still home, and not in the sandpit.
The other day my new workmates were running to their cars in the rain, I just slowly strolled to mine enjoying the fact that it was raining and I could smell the trees and that fresh earth smell..
It's amazing how better you feel the second you hit "send" on that email...

These threads pop up around this "time" each year, a combo of heat, dehydration and of course hypoglycemia is reason enough in my mind to make a good decision and leave. The feeling described as above is one of immense satisfaction, I felt the same when the wife and I decided we would work here but spend every other waking moment offshore at home, so far it has allowed us to metaphorically abuse EK for our own benefit whist enjoying all the good stuff of home and only a tiny bit of the negative stuff.
Make no mistake, the sociopaths running the place don't care about you or your resignation, make every post a winner to get every fil you can squeeze out of them.

i have been wondering the same thing. Rumour has it he is interviewing in Europe. For the life of me I don’t know why he can’t log into pprune and explain to us peons what is transpiring at EK.

i guess he has his priorities as things are pretty bad.

If Harry is looking to get out...things are really bad!!! ( I thought the "canary in the coal mine" was when it was said that EGT was leaving...), but if Harry is looking around, this is a warning of a critical radiation leak!!!!

Im hearing really bad things about them and I believe they are not making any effort to change their bullying tactics, scheduling or pay package.

Everyone passes nowadays. It used to be if you had 1500 Turbo Prop time you passed. Now the benchmark is if you have a pulse. If you have a pulse, you pass but who’s applying anyway much less coming. Not even the truly desperate are wanting to join this sinking ship.
