Jazeera Airways F/O

Whats the catch? 12k a month for F/O on the A320, accomodation and transport provided etc...

Seems too good to be true? Any experiences with this outfit?

I have emails from agencies hiring for Jazeera going back several months, every 2 weeks the salary goes up. If EK can't hold on to them, what chance has Jazeera got!

I don't think numbers are real.
AFAIK real numbers for tempo contracts are:
12k -CPT, 9k- FO.
It's agency contract, no residency.

Its true.... 12k$ for f/os. if you need pilots that urgend ... you pay. No prob for residency as the company has a good HR/ direct line to the ministry.

They are confident that any pilot with a rating who joins can be trained to the standards they need in no time as they really bleed for crew.

The long flights they put into the offer are mostly at night and there are no layovers.

the conditions for joining as an f/o ( money, hotel etc) are better then the pay of some captains there.

As the offer says nothing about vacation etc i would adress that direct to them.

If you want to know if there is a catch... what is a catch for you?

They are even advertising that there is no interview required, that sounds like a catch to me!!

Why? If you look at the network of the company and what they offer... it seems that they want to use only f/os for the long flights (as they say). So no need for so many flights. 10 maybe 12 flighs a month. The trust in their captains doing their training for the release is high .

I am sure they made their risk assessment as this is a private airline listed on the local stock market. there are shareholders which are interrested in their part and when an aircraft with passengers generates bad news for semi-professionals they are aware that the stock market might react.

Anyway they should be checked by the local DGCA and when they give the go.... as they are low cost operators they know about the cost of training and that every one who cannot make it through the check is wasted money. Also they know about the motivation of the senior f/os who get to know that the new ones are getting more then a captain in that company! So where is the catch?

When your time will come to get your annual leave you will realize why they (presumably )pay you so much....in my opinion is the worst outfit in kwi.Go to Kuwait airways
Motto in Kuwait is" Expat came because he had no job so he should be thankful that we gave him"for them you are an high cost labour...kwi airways local pilots got 30%salary increase years ago.Expats 5 or nothing if i remember correctly
you have been warned

Again,

numbers given by agency are wrong and I'm going to tell you why:

- 12k for F/O is maximum possible with 100 hrs INCLUDING housing and transport.

This is technically right numbers for local contact but keep in mind that :

YOU will pay for descent accommodation (1500-2500 USD),
unless you want to spend your time in little Bangladesh/Cairo of Kuwait (no offence )

YOU will pay for transportation (350-450 USD),
depending of location.

YOU will pay for medical, visa renewal etc.
And much much more if you bring your family and kids. Schools are hell expensive.

All This regarding LOCAL contact.

If you on AGENCY temporarely contract,
accommodation & transport is provided ( hotel is crap), that's means you will be NOT paid accommodation and transport allowances (750kwd=2500 USD)
on agency contract you are not eligible for benefits, bonuses, bank loans and end of service indemnity.

Do your research before you decide.
There are pros and cons as always,
but make your choices wisely.

There´s not catch here. Any FO in the company will make that 12K USD flying 90 hours. The 4 months term contract pilots will fly 100 hours every month. They will be accommodated in a 3 stars hotel in a cheap area (New Park Hotel). Transportation costs peanuts in this country. If you´re jobless could be interesting, taking in mind the company is a crap. The Ops Director as per Arabian SOPs, an arrogant ignorant guy.
