It has but wasn't in the public know how - who is to say cheap ShamBain hasn't been handed out all this time and prior poured into empty Moet bottles at EK catering facilities? Simply unhygienic and utterly unacceptable specially since TD & crew brag so much about their selection of "fine booze" .....

With you Schnowzer. We live is a society where anyone with a mobile phone can be shocked and awed by anything and everything. They share with the world who take everything on the net as being true.
It's a shame the crew can't share photos of these same people as they act like children during the flight.

It isn't even "real" Dom. Check out the label, "Specially bottled for Emirates" or words to that effect. Maybe they're buying the slops from the bottom of the barrel that isn't normally sold to the public. More smoke and mirrors and BS as usual.

Many airlines, including BA have bespoke labels on the champagne, EK is not unique. It is the real stuff as the champagne houses would not allow their product to be diluted with inferior quality so that comment merely highlights your ignorance. It's also there to ensure the crew can't claim to have 'purchased' it from duty free. The only BS appears to be coming from you....as usual.

I suspect it was champagne that had been "tray prepped" and then not taken by any passengers on the cabin walkround - still wholly unacceptable and a PR disaster for Emirates. But if it was from a partially consumed glass then it's a health hazard, a lawsuit, AND a PR disaster.
Despite the intentions, the optics of this makes the company look bad and as TCAS used to say, "it's all about the perception our passengers have". I always thought that was a very loaded statement, IE: it just has to look good vs actually being good.
In any case, despite the intention of the crew or even that of the service delivery manual, pouring anything back into a bottle is very "sans classe" and adds the aura of "commonality". Not the look they are trying to portray I'd think.
Welcome to todays world. As "Dom don" said, every muppet has a phone these days and will record anything and everything, in some cases for gain. I'll bet that at least 1/4 of the passengers record the landings, take-offs, PA's etc. I say keep the laptops and ban the phones on-board!
