It's too late to safe this company. The ship is sinking and can't be stopped.
CM will realise soon that there is no cure and will evacuate himself.

a minimum of half of them need to be locals
If I'm not mistaken there's a law preventing the dismissal of locals, under the umbrella of 'Emiratification'. Never met an Emirati I'd trust to run anything, will be fun to see how they fare running an actual airline. Into the ground, would be my expectation.

We've been saying Gulf Air 2.0 for years now. Not a rapid descent but rather a driftdown. Either way, the result has the potential to be the same.

Just like to thank you guys at EK for taking him off our hands and looking after him for so many years.

Passing his office one time after a trip he balled me out about something in the corridor and then went back in to his office slamming the door in my face.

I was so incensed when I got home I drove back and confronted him... his reply "got the name wrong, wasn't you" and walked away, no apology nothing.... Tosser

As long as this airline continues to fly 777-300ER's to DOH with 120 pax and the Blunderbus with 86 pax there's only one direction this airline is going!!!

CM in a meeting recently to top level management condemned the buying of all these blunderbusses. Ruffled a few feathers for sure, including TC who was there.

I'm not one for the Airbus vs Boeing petty arguments, but I do love that new moniker for the 380

This is precisely why i bear no hope for improvement. The way i see it, CM is only Chief Advisory Officer, the Executive one is still TC, with AAR up his ...
Any reversal of any of their collective "blunders" will be regarded as attack on their skills and face. No need to elaborate how truthfully they will implement such advice.
If HH is serious about getting EK back on track, he can't avoid getting rid of these individuals and their old boy network to pave the way for improvement.

I think Puff & Glo you'll find that the multiple DOHs every day are to free up gate and parking space at DXB... Doesn't matter how many PAX are carried - it just gets the airframes out of town for a few hours!

Same must apply to all the metal in NZ, just to get them out of OZ for a few hours, apparently it's cheaper.

I guess Mr. CM must be hugely impressed by such a business model ....

it's called remote Airdisplay like at the airshow.

Wait till the investors find out that their investment actually is not doing anything.
Another ponci scheme?

Planes can fly round the clock, what about crew. Could you explain how Australia-NZ crew scheduling works. Travel agents, teenagers and trolls on a not to be named aviation forum are drooling about the possibilities at FLL. How can Costa allow a plane to sit on ground for 9.5hr?

and the best is that during the 9.5hr not much maintenance is done.
They are masters in deferring items, oh I forgot cost cutting in progess.

If the best way to maximise loads/yields/profits is to have the aircraft sit there for several hours then so be it. EK is far from the first airline to do this, look at the x number of airlines that do the same in Jo'burg, Sydney etc.

Yes, some airlines do it. But the reason is their night-bans at home. Now EK has the immense advantage of not having anything like that. Obviously there should be no reason to park aircraft, as they only make money when flying, conclusion is that bad planning wastes an advantage and money.
