Iran ATC
Nothing short of pure dangerous yesterday, guys stepping on everyone's toes, and Iranian ATC screaming like little children barking orders like possessed school teachers! Add in the daily ME rush, let's all have a party and make it guess work!
Safe flying through the area chaps!

I'm lucky I don't have to head in that direction!
But yes, from past experience it's pretty bad

Perhaps if we pilots paid better attention to the calls, so they don't have to call the same aircraft 3+ times...
And how about this? Listen for 5 seconds on the new freq before keying the mike and you reduce the risk of stepping on someone else...

Mind you about 75% of our colleagues don't know the check-in requirements on first contact with our home base approach or departures so what hope is there really..

Not a pilot but from a number of friends who are, with a number based in Mid East all their negative comments have concerned Turkish ATC and in particular Eastern Turkey where you make your turn to enter Iranian airspace. Always pleased to be past that point as SLF and in particular during bad weather.

The controllers are rarely the problem, i would even give them a 4,5 out of 5 in this region.
Iran ATC is good and even Turkish ATC is ok, albeit the high pitched voice of the Ankara sisters can be somewhat annoying.
What bothers me more is, as has been mentioned already, the not listening out and then stepping on everybody of our beloved flying colleagues.
It would especially help if some (especially FOs!) could raise their voice from a unmotivated mumble to a level similar to what you need to raise the attention of the knockout girl next to you at Barasti.
... and EK could buy some decent headsets, because the provided ones deliver not very much more than a poor "flffl s'fllffll zseero slf'aleffl"
