If anyone has an email or mailing address for EL, please could you PM me? He did several of my PPCs over a 19 year period on both classic 'Bus and the Boeing, right and left seat, and a significant part of my upgrade training. Absolutely first class trainer and a real gentleman.

EL was operated on yesterday and the outcome was good. It was luckily not a tumour..instead an aneurysm or something similar.
The prognosis is for a good recovery.
This is great news; as all have said here he's an excellent trainer and a genuinely nice guy.
He did my final upgrade LOE many moons ago...on Christmas day. While he was professional to a tee, he really did just want to get home to nice glass of red wine.
All the best fella.

Really glad to hear that!
Get well soon and fast recoveries EL!
I did my very first flight in EK with him and several SIMs, line checks...
Always a gentleman and a good company, someone that you can sit and chat for hours.
