grapevine

Heard through the grapevine a Purser was arrested on arrival into DXB because wife of VP of a Non "human" department in the Bouncy Castle complained and said to police she had been offended and disrespected after the child did not get another meal as the child didn't like the CHML and no other meals were available.

Interesting but isn't the VP of HR an Indian so presumably the wife is too. The witness account suggests that the family is local.

WTF...I just can't believe what I'm reading. At least in Korean Airline they took it very seriously and now the "manager, VP, Boos, who ever it is " is in the DS.

I'm so sick of this crap - I think I would have insisted on being arrested myself.

No crime was committed therefore no arrest would be made, a completely made up story. A similar thing happened on one of my flights a few months back. Some saudi passengers filed a complaint to the police about an SFS who they they claimed had offended them, I can't remember why exactly but it was a trivial. The cops told them to sod off and nothing happened to the SFS or anyone else.

Ya but Fromagio…

Maybe that couple didn't have the Wasta this couple had?

You have admit… I think most of of not only on this forum but at EK in general probably realize that nonsense like this "could and has happened".

I've heard of a few other crazy things like this as well… Like LB's son getting arrested for doing nothing of his own doing… wrong place at the wrong time and got picked out by a security guard who needed to save face after falling down chasing someone thru a crowd, only to stand up again and see her son being the closest one and get arrested accused of tripping said guard!!!!

!!!!!e like this DOES happen.

Serious company/management would have a person dealing with communication in crisis times (Crisis Communication Manager). Or maybe they think they are not in crisis.

Nikita. Please send them your cv!!
There were times when I didn't have the money and I didn't have a job. Tough times. I made a promise then that I would rather die out of hunger (and there were times when I was hungry as well, so I know what it means to be hungry) than do something that goes against my nature. I can't claim that I will do what I have promised, but I can promise that I will try.

I don't want to work for EK again and I don't want to send them my CV. They should be looking to keep all of us in the company, because they desperately need us. It's just that they are not aware of it yet and I am not sure that they will ever become aware.

I just want my EOSB. And if they ever call me and ask me why I did what I did, the answer would be the same: give me what belongs to me.

No denial or confirmation yet, except that crews are talking about it among themselves.

Bottom line is that blog has to respect the privacy of the crew involved, so if they don't want to talk about it, I have to respect it.

There is no way for me to double check all the information that I am getting. I didn't publish many stories that I've got because I wasn't sure if they are authentic.

This one was disturbing enough and publishing it was my way to check its validity. Sometimes you can ask for a confirmation online. I had my reasons to do this since I especially hate mobbing over working women.

I think it is serious enough for company to officially deny it, but since company doesn't get their employees seriously, it seems like this story will remain just another demotivating story for employees to spread it around until they leave the company.

These would be the same crew that told me Emirates was building a single building to house 60 000 flight attendants?

Uhh...they're not really known for their accuracy or fact checking.

I think I'm calling bs on this one.
