EK Interview Travel

Hello people. A quick question.

It was my belief that EK (being the stirling bunch they are) provided flights to DXB for their interviews. A mate of mine (my date hasn't come through yet, so it's really not me) has been called forward but they have told him to make his own travel arrangements.

Is this a new (cost saving) thing or has it always been the case that you get there yourselves?

Thanks for your (sensible) replies.

Was like that 4 years ago already...

Kind of turned me off then, and I cancelled on short notice. (I donīt think they like that!)

In 2000 they had "stand-by" interview dates with the same "travel arrangements".

Beancounters everywhere...

Wink

Definately have to find your own way there.
Did my interview last month, and even flew EK to get there.
Once there, they pay for breaky, lunch and give you an allowance for dinner. They put you up in a reasonable pub, but that is because the interview is there as well.
If you want the job, it is a small expense l reckon.
Wish old mate good luck!

Have to agree....a small price to pay! Will definitely have no qualms about paying once released from HMFC. Is one still expected to fly one's better half out too?

Thanks Capt.

Have two boys under three and l was the 30-something last person to be hired by AN under either seniority system that was thrown at us.

Cheers Hagas
