...or to ask EGHQ in person to stop taking all his pilots.

Maybe he wants his pilots back? Or perhaps negotiating a no-poach?

hardly... Most of the RYR guys are going down the road now, and a lot of the 3 year f/o's with expiring bonds and 5 more years to wait for a 777 command are looking at leaving to go back to LHS in Ryanair.

That makes a no-poach interesting for both sides, I guess.

Non-Poaching Agreement

Dont make me laugh ! seriously guys, a non-poaching agreement ! yeah right

and besides most of the people in RYR are "service providers",
and don't even work for Ryanair, so please explain how any
no poaching agreement would even work!

RYR has invested nothing in the training of these aviation professionals,
and any attempt to try and somehow trap these pilots in RYR, can only be seen as an act of desperation.

RYR, cap in hand, something must have been said (in jest)
remarking on the RYR exodus, and EK's role in the affair.
of that there is no doubt.

(I hear EK are recruiting heavily again, the timing sure is interesting....)

my humble opinion of course.

Or Sir Tim retiring in November and EK looking for his successor?

Rolf Meet Jimmy...Jimmy meet Rolf.

I can picture it now, its just like the day Rolf Harris met Jimmy Saville for the first time and started swapping notes.

Maybe MOL is searching for older, well maintained 777s to buy for a proposed Transatlantic LCC operation?

Isn't EK turning into the worlds largest LCC already?

Maybe they are just formalizing the industry cancer that is the Ryan to EK career progression. I'm sure Ryan could hire more suckers willing to eat it for a few years if there was a guaranteed job at EK where the light at the end of the tunnel is a gold plated, diamond encrusted train.

at this rate, it will be EK to Ryan transition, not the traditional Ryan to EK.
