Question for EK guys flying out of DWC

Do you sign in at EGHQ, or does the crew transport drop you directly at DWC?

Curious about duty times and FTLs.

Does the OM-A consider both airports as your base of operations?

Thanks.

Somewhere on the portal there are freighter procedures listed. If I remember correctly for DWC you have to go to a certain DNATA desk there. I am sure if you just ask one of the DNATA staff they will know.

I recently did one out of SHJ. Transport took us directly there and picked us up directly from there, should be the same for DWC.

Dubai is our base, which covers both DXB & DWC.

The operation at DWC is great, same pick up times as DXB, check in at the desk, a short walk through immigration / security and you hop on the bus straight to the aircraft, total process takes 10-15 minutes. On arrival it takes about 15 mins from chocks on to being in the car on your way home.

Scandistralian, that assumes that the cars are waiting for you when you land. The longest I've waited is 30mins for it to turn up.

So a Green Com pilot will arrive too early and an Al Gahoud pilot, too late.
