Sounds to me like the guy is saying he didn't see his offer of employment email until a month after EK sent it out, and he is now afraid he may have lost his spot by not replying.
If so, sure is a tricky one. Only way to find out though is to reply and explain the mishap. Good luck!

Dear Sir
Further to your email dated.......... I would like to take my application to the next stage. As I have only just received it I trust I'm not to late for the application process to proceed.
Please advise accordingly and I look forward to receiving a favourable reply in due course.
Yours faithfully

Do you work at Emirates?
Any idea when I could possibly change to the left seat?
5,6,7...10 years?
Cause I am a A320 CAPTAIN now, and qatar offered me a A320 CAPTAIN position.
But my Great dought is that dubai would be better for my family, I would have a better schedule, but at the same time I woukd be a first officer again and making less money, you know.
So qatar or emirates???? Oh GOD!!!!

Go to qatar man. You are a captain. If you fly as a first officer for a very long time you'll regret the decision you are taking at this moment to go to EK. QR is the place for you.

In Dubai my family can speak english and have a better qualify of life than in China, where nobody cares about speaking english.
In china I have jobs to fly for U$20.000,00 but then I pay U$3000 for a rent and then I pay U$2000 for the school of each of my sons and at the end I have the salary of U$13.000,00: pretty much like a CAPTAIN in the Middle East tha has the package!!! So what looks a lot, is about the same. Thats why I am thinking about Emirates. I thinking on them also!!! Correct me if I am wrong!!!
