Jet Airways/ No Name Airways 777 Lease

Wondered if anyone has had any confirmed dates as to when this will start?

Also, will No name Airways just be using them on the JFK route and to BOM, or are there other routes that they are going to use them on?

There is also a rumor that No Name Airways has acquired five 777-200LR from Air India.

Other airline...very smart

It seems to me that there is probably a understanding here in UAE not to have bases...so what to do? Buy 24%of another company and let them do it. JFK and ORD to start April 2014, screening has already started. If you might want to live back in the US, try FCI (flight crew international). Nice package and they seem to be pretty helpful also. Good luck to everyone here and apply for your visa at least a week in advance....

I can all but guarantee that the other two Gulf operators will be looking closely at how this operation progresses, as it represents another way for them to gain further 5 freedom rights and potentially to reduce their crewing costs.
Certainly not basings as such, but another way to skin the camel

Apparently the airline that cannot be named has invited the AI 777 pilots to join them via personalised emails

dna special: Etihad Airways promises red carpet welcome to Air India pilots with double salaries and perks - Mumbai - DNA

A Forbes India article even mentioned that 11 ex-AI pilots are on deputation to Jet Airways to help them expand operations on the 777 fleet

The AI and 9W 777 are being cleaned up and taken out of Storage at VDIP. Saw 4 of them 3 days ago.
