Why is there a voice in my head telling me that a similar type of approach will NEVER be applied in SYD, could it be because the authorities are indeed pedantic and inflexible? or that perhaps as usual, lunacy triumphs over common sense, we should be told.

Scenario; (because with aviation we all know that , given time , if it can happen , it will...) an aircraft that has taken off after the curfew crashes on departure with fire and fatalities ... implications regarding liability or even CFR come to mind. Post - incident causal factor ?
