Smile Interline travel on EK

Hi, I'm planning to go SYD on 6Nov; standby on EK412. I'm wondering if this flight is always full? I know QF flights have so many QF staff on standby so my chances are pretty slim, hence choosing to go on EK. Thanks!

I have been checking EK travel to and from all ports in Australia to DXB, and from DXB to the different destinations in the UK. Now, Id expect it to be 'red faces' at this time of year and approaching xmas, but a random selection of dates throughout next year shows red faces as well. Are they really always full???

There are 3 flts daily. EK 414, A380 direct leaving at 01:50, EK 418, B777 via BKK leaving at 09:05 and EK 412, A380 direct leaving at 10:15.
All 3 flights show overbooking of an average of 10 seats in Y but J and F are only 1/2 to 2/3rds full so if there are upgrades, wich is most likely, then all stby pax should be accomodated.
This prediction can obviously change so give it a go. Good Luck.

ZED travel with Emirates will always be economy class. No upgrades allowed.

If you are QF Shovel, then l suggest you read the agreement in your staff travel regulations. It is probably different to the agreement EK have for travelling J on QF. Therefor no one here would know.
