Good news for South Florida travelers: More international flights are coming to Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Qatar Airways, the national carrier for the Persian Gulf state, is starting service to Miami on June 1. The route will operate four time a week with an approximate flying time of 14 to 15 hours to the Arab country.
The airline is part of the oneworldAlliance that also includes American Airlines. For more information, www.qatarairways.com.

It is good news if comfirmed and the connectivity with MIA will be good, thatīs the main thing, all the caribbean specially, however the problem is always the same, the transit visa requirements to just pass by any USA airport, thatīs a problem for some travelers, itīs not easy to get and itīs not free.
Will they deploy the B77W or B787 for a 14-15 hours flights the A330 is out of the question.
I think we will see Dallas sooner or later, itīs a huge hub for AA and also a big market, so it will make sense to operate together with the IAH flight.
