Emirates Staff ID90 Question

I'm planning to use ID 90 for the first time. Im just a little confuse on what to do. When I visit the TRIPS site, it is written on subload tkt "CAT A ticket must be listed/revalidated for the flight you intend to travel on prior to check-in". Can someone tell me what this means?? And when I issue the ticket, am I going to receive the tkt on my email or do i have to go to HQ to get it?? Sorry, Im a newbie regarding this matter. Hope you guys can help me

Fill out the flight details on trips. You will get an eticket emailed to you. That's all you need to do.
If you change the journey for any reason, go back to trips, cancle the listing, and then relist for the new flight.

thanks for your help! I got confused coz I saw that there is a listing tab on trips and my ID90 request wasn't there. So we only use it for a changed booking. I was trying to call staff travel about this but no one was answering the call. Thanks!

When you book via TRIPS for CatA/Standby and pick dates/flights you actually listing on those specific flights and booking a 1 year validity ticket at the same time. So if your plans change or the load is high, you can go back to that ticket, cancel the listing for those dates and relist on any other flight within the validity of the ticket. You can also cancel the listing leaving it open for future use or get it refunded to you. The e-ticket will be emailed to you and looks just like any normal passenger ticket.

You don't have to cancel the listing to re-list on another flight, if you are trying multiple flights to escape you can list on as many as you want using the same ticket. You will however be emailed a different booking reference number for each flight but the e-ticket number (176....) will be the same.

If you are trying for multiple flights how does it work regarding the DDS? Do they deduct when you put in the CAT A request or is it only when you have the seat confirmed?

Say I am looking to get out of LHR and want to list on all 5 flights for the day, even if I put them on the same ticket am I going to find I have a very light salary next month as I will be DDS for all 5 flights. (obviously if I get on one or none I can claim a refund - but dont want to be deducted for 5 flights in advance!)

Cool

To keep the DDS within your monthly limit, you can list for the first flight only and then if you miss out can either:

a. having been placed on standby, get the ground staff to move your booking for you and immediately place you on standby for the next flight , or

b. use the re-list function on TRIPS to select your next preferred flight, and then pair up the previous ticket reference against your new flight (without any additional DDS being processed). Press SAVE and Halas!

101, when you list you are not buying a new ticket. You are just adding your name to the list of staff trying to get on the flight. You are only charged when you buy the Cat A ticket.
For a place like LHR list for the 1st flight you can make. If you don't get on the staff will list you for the next one as needed. if you are worried you won't get out of LHR you can also list for flights out of other UK ports for the same day if you could get to them.

....the staff MAY list you but if they are busy you will pointed to the kiosks which is fine unless the next flight you are trying is only 10 minutes away. So just list on both before you even arrive at the airport. If you get on the first one then as you collect your boarding pass let them know you no longer need the listing on the second. I do this regularly.... Only charged once.

As regards the multiple listing thing, what happens regarding the point in the staff travel manual that says all unwanted listings must be cancelled within 24 hours of departure to avoid a fine? Or does this only apply if you don't show at the airport for any of your listings?
