Fly Dubai Business Class

I was under the impression that Fly Dubai was the LLC division of Emirates.

So unless C is offered on routes with no competition, will all be happy.

But when the route starts to generate good C revenue, will it be transferred to main line status.???

No, it isn't a division of Emirates.

It's a separate company that has the same owner.

Oximoron or Sarcastic

Whatever, if it is the same owner, then might I be allowed to assume that the vested interest is very similar.

Neither oxymoron nor sarcastic. He's actually correcting your innacurate "impression" about the relationship between FD and Emirates.

One owner: UAE Government. Vested interest is not similar, it's identical: make money. However, both companies are completely different animals. Different route structure, completely different markets.

There's no such thing as "transfer to mainline status", again 2 different airlines.

I agree different airlines but same deep pocket

This thread has a similar view by several posters, to myself.

Fly Dubai setting itself in competition to Emirates.

OK, the Business / First will / might never have the same style but lets wait and see.

Gf,

Wasn't meaning to be facetious, and no doubt if FD started cutting into EKs market, the powers that be would put a stop to it.

The idea is that they target different markets, even when they operate similar routes.

same pocket same guiding stick

Almost mistyped that headline twice.

I agree there is only one "shareholder" and no business plan will be implemented that effects the total bottom line.

FD low cost?

Only airline with hd screens for IFE, Head up display for captain, check out the price of tickets more expensive than EK sometimes.
I think they are in the same catergory as what Virgin Australia was a few years ago...... a new world airline.

I don't think EK have much to worry about the business offering at FD.
No comparison mind you the friendly service FD has is very very good.

Just my opinion.

Safe flying
