MEA recruitment question

Hello,

I appreciate any information on pilot recruitment at MEA.I am a local and have contacted them on E-mail but never got a reply.

Any leads on who to contact or speak with that could well put me on the picture.
Do they have license preference? Minimum requirements? Or yet type rating requirements?

Thank you in advance.

Wink

Getting a flying job into MEA is near impossible, as they have hired 9 cadets in the last 20 years!!!
Even though 90% of the pilots are above 45 years old and a lot of senior Captains are due to retire, no hiring is expected soon as this will be absorbed by increased flying hours introduced in the recent changes to flight pay conditions.
MEA is getting a brand new fleet next year (6 A321-200 and 3 leased A330-200) to replace the present fleet, but an increase in the total fleet number will be requiered for it to start hiring again.
MEA has always hired pilots through an abinitio scheme, with pilots getting their UK CAA frozen ATPL before joining the line. In the future, candidates from approved JAA schools could have an edge but I do not think a type rating would make a difference. All sim and route training is done in house. Hope I did not discourage you.
Good Luck.

I am lebanese and i hold a UK-JAR-FCL CPL/IR with Frozen ATPL.
I have trained with a well known school in an ab-initio scheme.

Cool Libin

I am from the Caribbean but now hold a Syrian pasport. Do you know if they hire only locals. My hrs stands at 3110 most of it turbine Dash8.
I also read in F.I that Syria & Libin was trying to setup a shuttle between them as well offer BusJet to other places.
Can anybody help me with this information.
