We are "overpaid" Should we give some back?

It seems pilots in the UAE are getting too much cash.

Also we are getting a profit share scheme, I guess they wrote that a couple of weeks ago!!

Have a read!!

Pilots are always perceived to be overpaid.
Except the pilot flying YOUR flight. (s)he should be 100% alert the entire flight, not need to eat or go to the bathroom and when YOU are on board, money is no longer a factor when it comes to the standard of YOUR pilot.

overpaid? It looks like a real estate agent here has a higher base salary than our FO's. Does that job even require an education? Worthless article.

Considering the fact that we operate $200 million plus aircraft with hundreds of lives on board at all hours of the day and night, I would say we are grossly underpaid. But what do i know I'm just an overpaid, underworked pilot.

Joining salary

By my gestimation we should be getting around twice what we are getting now, ie FOs should be joining EK on around 50k.

Using the UAE governments own website were about 15% short compared with around 15 years back.

Seems many earn more than us, for jobs where lives are not directly at risk?
