Not gonna happen according to latest Groupworld email

"Visa Services will take care of your UAE ID renewal as part of the visa renewal process from Sunday, 10th March. The costs associated with your UAE ID Card renewal will be deducted as per policy.
Here are the steps for the streamlined UAE ID and visa renewal process:
Raise a new request for visa renewal through the Visa Services module on HRDirect>Applications. Fill in the required details and click on ‘Submit’.
Visit the EGHQ Employee Service Centre (ESC) to complete your government medical test.
Submit the following to the Visa Services counter: UAE ID card application (available from HR Forms on groupworld>Employee Centre), original UAE ID card and other documents required for visa renewal.
You will be informed when your passport is ready for collection from the ESC.
The Emirates ID Authority (EIDA) will print and dispatch the UAE ID card directly to you after the visa is stamped on your passport.
Previously, UAE-based employees had to renew their UAE ID cards separately as a pre-requisite for visa renewal."
