Kinda helps if the radar actully shows you all the traffic. AT3 is somewhat picky on that point - not unknown for arrivals to be uncorrelated all the way from DESDI to touchdown. Oh, and AT3 shows uncorrelated traffic with NO DATA BLOCK and looks exactly like an overflight / One of those mil flights that you acc boys don't see but may or may not be in our airspace!

30R in Summer no problem for A380

Ex A380-800 driver: Just ran some numbers and it seems there should be no penalties for the A380 on the ULR's mid-summer,

30R, no wind, QNH 995, up to 44C, MTOW 569T; no problem...

FYI of 30L, same conditions, no restrictions till 48C.

Springbok449 ; very rarely seen before 1030am in the 10+years I've been here...

All ULR's should be gone by that time.

DXB desperately needs a third, independent runway.
There is the third runway, at OMDW, that is. I don't know why would you have DWC thrown out in the desert, while all expansion plans are OMDB centric.

Building a 3rd runway at OMDB defeats the purpose of having DWC. It is difficult to expand OMDB with all the residential areas surrounding. Unless they build the third runway in place of the Mushrif Park, allowing aircrafts to taxi in tunnels under the "E311" road.

I'd say rather than the current Cargo expansion, "all" Cargo should to be moved to DWC. Something that would piss courier businesses off... alot.

I would second the idea of moving the LCC's out to DWC, but the ill-managed Flydubai won't be able to handle the workflow. It is expected that DWC will be Flydubai's new home.
