LogTen pro - any thoughts?

I'm contemplating investing in LogTen pro. This is purely to keep an eye on my hours. I want to keep an eye on my real hours as well as my hours via the EK method! In the real world I have over 915 hours this year, however the augmenting EK method says I'm OK still!

Up to now I have been using the Excel Flight time tracker that was available via the EK portal to keep on top of things. One I used to keep for real hours and one for EK augmenting hours. Unfortunately it has thrown up a few errors recently so I am looking at more reliable options, hence I was thinking about LogTen pro.

So what do you think?
- Is it worth the money?
- If I get the ipad version I obviously want the info to be safe ie don't want to lose it. It mentions backup via icloud, how does this work in the real world, does it take up much space?
- Can you modify LogTen pro to show both real hours and also augmenting hours?
- Are there any other viable options to LogTen pro?

Any sensible advice from guys currently using it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

mini

LogTen pro - any thoughts?

Well worth it, can provide nice print outs & various ways to export data, not sure if u can have 2 versions on one logbook (possibly a smart group inside could do this?), but if u email coradines support they are really helpful. The iCloud backup is awesome like all apple stuff it just works, not sure but guess its just a few kilobytes. I run it on iPhone, wife's iPad occasionally and my mac book air, for over 5 years now. Just love it

But be prepared to pay for some kind of upgrade every couple of years. From a business point of view seems fair to me as I imagine its a very limited market size.

Hope this helps

Been using V5 for over a year, synched between PC and Ipad, and am very happy.

Only thing that irks me is that you have to pay again to upgrade to the later version, which is a bit of a cheek IMHO.

Love it. Use both the iphone version (for quick entry on the road) and sync it with my laptop & home MAC.

I save it to "dropbox".

I thought it was worth the $, and haven't been disappointed.

Glad you like it and still using it, sounds hopeful! How do you do the augmenting time / rest / real hours breakdown?

Also thinking about getting Logtenpro,

Does anyone know if there is a way to "import" all the hours as given in the flight time report to the log book?

i.e. copy all the hours, tail number, etc from the flight time report in the portal to a brand new blank log book?

Thanks a lot

Yes, reports generated by the EK Flight time report can be imported into LogTen Pro. The Flight Time report is a .csv file which is a compatible file with LTP when using the import feature. It will import all details i.e date, a/c, registration etc. When doing it for the first time it will ask you to assign headers to what it identifies in the csv file.

Hi.

Using the Pro Universal which means I can sync from my iphone to iPad as well. I like it, keep an eye out as every so often they drop the price for a short period of time.

Regards,

I use logten pro and you can add custom time fields to keep track of your real vs augment hours and easily use limits and smart groups to see how you're doing pr month/year/decade etc.
