Hot tips for passing your Phase 4 PPC from the Daily Telegraph

This one, from todays issue report of the Nepal plane crash gives a good tip for handling the V1 cut.

"Airport officials said the pilot had become 'nervous' after a bird hit the plane's propeller, damaging one of the engines, shortly after take-off at 6.15am. They ordered him to start the second engine, and make an emergency landing, but the damaged engine caught fire, reported the Daily Telegraph."

Do remember to start the second engine after the first fails. It's easy then.

The ultimate fuel savings exercise!

Fly around on one engine until it fails, then fire up the other one!

Just imagine how much fuel we can save on the A340's or the A380's. Three engines just "waiting" on standby!

Brilliant journalism. Makes me wonder what the truth is behind all the stuff they write that I know absolutely diddly about...
