Nice pictures. Looks great in the "Goat" paint scheme. With 60 potential 787 airframes, they will be very common at Doha in a few years.
Look forward to seeing more pictures as the aircraft approaches delivery and (hopefully) a spot on the Farnborough lineup.

Sounds like they named it after Qantas Airways. How original.
Qatar is the name of the country...what else should they call it??? And it's a sight better than a couple other liveries over here....
"QANTAS", an acronym for "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services".
not quite the same now is it??

A QR 787 is scheduled to make an appearance at Farnborough but it won't be the first delivery aircraft.
Boeing have been forced to provide an aircraft to appease QR for the late deliveries.
Interestingly the first cabin inspection in Seattle didn't go well with around 1000 pick ups!

Anyone know the range limitations on the 787-800 series QR has ordered? What would be the max range with full passengers and full fuel? Could these QR 787s "reliably" fly between Doha and the US West Coast? What about Sydney to Doha (westbound)? Doha to Rio? Or will this aircraft be utilised more like a Doha-Europe or Doha-South Asia type of aircraft?
Thought I read that there might be some range limitations for the 800 version vs. the 900 version.

QR's First B787 Arrives Tomorrow
A7-BCB is scheduled to leave Seattle around 1300 PST today (0000 Doha) and arrive around 1400 in Doha tomorrow.
I have heard that the dispatch reliability of the aircraft at other carriers is not good so Boeing and QR Maintenance are likely to have their hands full.
How well prepared is Qatar Airways for the arrival of the 787?
