I have heard that the dispatch reliability of the aircraft at other carriers is not good so Boeing and QR Maintenance are likely to have their hands full.

Care to substantiate that quote? For what it's worth, ANA wanted a 99.7% 12 after EIS and it is currently at 98.9%. Not too bad when you consider the engine issue. Just as a point of illustration the 777 worldwide dispatch rate is 99.2%.

Fuel burn is 21% less than the 767-300 and the specs were to be 20%.

Not a bad start if you ask me....

Certainly looks pretty. Given the recent delays, any information on how many are likely to be delivered through year's end and also in 2013? I would expect fewer this year due to the delay but more than originally expected in 2013 with the backlog - no?

A second one (A7-BCL) was handed over to Qatar last week, and there are plans for 3 more to be delivered before the end of the year (1 more in November and 2 in December.) When they will be ferried across to Doha I do not know, neither how many are planned for 2013...

Next aircraft is due to depart for Doha on November 21st. Three more to follow this year.

WRT reliability, Ethiopian experienced a lot of power issues which I believe are gradually being worked through.
