Qatar training / checking

Gents already flying at QR:

1) How is the current Failure Rate during Training at QR (if any), especially for DECs?
2) How would you describe the Simulator/Line Checks compared to what you experienced at your prior Airline? How is the overall environment?
3) How often do they change aircraft type after arrival in Doha vs. what they offered you in the Employment offer?

Many thanks

mar

1) not sure, but people do fail, however in any decent T&C organisation is Big T, little 'c'. And it will depend on where you come from in terms of how diciplined you were in terms of following SOP's and not making your own way of doing things up as you go. If you just "Fly the book" you will be fine.

2) not sure aint got there yet. But from most reports it is fine so long as you use the standard calls and SOP's. It aint a walk in the park because they need pilots, however the Big T and Little c seems to apply here mostly.

3) rarely, but it does happen if your unlucky.

hope it helps
