EK, on standby for Madrid PSP

Hello everyone. I had been confirmed for Madrid's PSP a couple of months ago but one week ago I received an email apologizing for having to leave me on standby due to the amount of CVs received lately from pilots flying "common cockpits" with EK. Does anyone have any idea on what happened?, I mean why would they confirm a date two months ago and now ten days before the tests put me in standby?. Has this happened to anybody else? I'm looking forward to fly for EK, I hope they give me a chance in following PSP.
I've read a few posts from people who seem to know what's cooking in EK, I hope someone can help!!

A couple of my mates had interviews in AMS for the PSP too... got the same letter as you, thanks but no thanks. More qualified guys then yourselves at this time, but please keep updating It happened right after Spanair and Malev fell over.... Good luck
