Word from the coal face is that its all turning NASty.
With the demise of NJME, 2 Falcons disappearing, and numerous other issues in NASjet its ugly. Embraer cant even get visa for their people to visit (aka repo the 190's that aren't being paid for). Gossip, says its all related to the grand plan to float.
Either that or I have just had a hallucinogenic moment from bad mayo on my Riyadh shwama while sipping a cid and coke by the dusty carpark...... oh the pain

NAS status?
Thanks for the heads up. I have a NAS contract in hand and a visa issued and waiting. I was waiting to see if another offer was going to come through and keeping the NAS offer as a last resort. They still haven't reimbursed (as promised) my travel to attend the interview so I began to wonder about their integrity. Any further details would be appreciated. Thanks casej

First, they delayed delivery of 2 airplanes from 2012 to 2013. The new coo of the company wants to utilize the crews better than they had previously planned. Good for pilots, because we will fly more, but will require less hiring... Which is starting to take effect. Was told that the airbus was properly staffed and still need a few more embraer captains. Having problems with the visas. We were told to get business visas to get into country and start training, which we did.. But we are not supposed to work on those visas per the saudi government.. The company disregards this rules and did it anyway and it has come to bite them in the ass. They say its a gray area, but seems pretty black and white to me. I was told I would finish IOE, start my 6 week rotation then go home and acquire my work visa. Now things have changed (because they were cought with their pants down) and now I will leave to get my work visa as soon as I finish IOE in the next day or 2. All new hires will be required to get work visas right away. Seems like there has always been rumors that NAS is on the brink of disaster, but all expat pilots I have talked to have said the rumor has been around from day one. It's a private company so we can't see exactly how the company is doing. All I know is we have some pretty powerful investors with deep pockets that don't want their company to fail.. But you can only take so much. The flying here Is easy and the money is great. I have been paid on time and have been reimbursed all of my expenses to date. The only thing I can say negative about the company is that they mislead the truth.. 6 weeks of training my ass.. More like 3 months! PM me if you have questions

Did you get paid?? As long as the staff continue to get paid, the airline will continue to operate, maybe with different expansion plans, but they will continue.... If the salaries stop, then........

Airbus pilots chance to join NAS this year?
Dear colleagues,
any NAS news? I fly the bus in Middle Europe - taking home peanuts.
IŽd like to change to NAS.
Any Airbus deliveries in 2012?
Do you think, there will be a good chance to join this year?
Thanks
