QR - New Routes 2012 - Announced

Kinshasa would be a gold mine for any operator from the Middle East but with a runway that is only half usable, an apron that is a free for all, non existent airport facilities, deplorable security and bribes being demanded for everything I think it will be a while before any airline adds it to their network.

QATAR Airways to Start Doha – Perth Service from July 2012

QATAR Airways starting 03JUL12 is launching 3 weekly Doha – Perth service, on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Service operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with following schedule:
QR900 DOH0150 – 1815PER 332 246
QR901 PER2230 – 0520+1DOH 332 246

Still nothing to Scotland, very disappointing especially for the Olympics next year. There have been mutterings for BHX as well. Still I guess EK have the market sown up here so no chance of any further expansion.

Yeah but what about all those captains!
Is it only me but what do we say about the recent influx of external FO's putting their hours as captain getting B777 lets all hope and pray!
