Currently, a co-pilot in SQ.

Thinking of paying off the 7 yr bond to go to Emirates.

Any pilos who were previously from SQ?

Would like to get perspective abt working for emirates.

Just bear in mind that if, as you put it, "break your bond" you won't be able to fly into Singapore until it is paid, well, to be 100% correct, you will be able to fly in but not out until it is paid. Emirates may not take kindly to this situation, far better to negotiate a release, been done before and for a lot less than the outstanding bond too.

Doesn't sound like he will not be paying before leaving sin.

I heard that a SQ 380 F/O joined directly on the 380 fleet here at Emirates as an F/O. I don't know how much truth there is to it.

Wow, who cares. We are desperate if we are targeting Singaporeans.

Payback time?....Could it be "Exit Westwards" is the new way for trained and experienced crews to go?

Hope that was intended as a joke motley flight crue?

Having spent about ten years each with Middle East and Singaporean crew there is very little to choose between them and they are generally good value, often better than some of their European colleagues.

There are at least 15 ex SQ drivers (local contract) here in EK.

Some have finished their bond before jumping to EK some have negotiated a pay-back scheme with SQ.
