Barcelona, Oct 27 (EFE) .- Spanair is negotiating the sale of 49 percent of its shares to Qatar Airways, a company that would become its strategic partner, with the aim of securing the future of the airline in the coming years Catalan .
According to several newspapers reported today, a representation of shareholders of Spanair, in which the Generalitat is the senior partner, has traveled to the capital Catari, Doha, to finalize the deal, which could close in the coming days.
Spanair has long been seeking a strategic partner to ensure the viability of the company, which closed 2010 with losses of 115.72 million euros, an amount that improved 2009 results, year in which the airline lost 168 million.

They can probably buy it on Monday for a lot less that last friday. In any case there are too many airlines in Europe. That why pilots T&Cs have erroded. Contract work in Northern Europe out off a shell company in Malta is not the answer for a long a happy career. I should have stayed in school....
