Not that I've heard, but they WILL be getting some EK Cadets for a couple of years.

First group of 18 to start shortly...

Not all cadets will go to FD for the moment. Roughly about 1/3.

They will go back to EK after about 2 years or 1500hrs on type.

Expat Cadets ?

Do you know if they take expat cadets, or is it only directed to nationals?

Thanks!

EK380, is it a 'proper' cadet program in sense that they sponsor it, or is it more like a 'pay for the job' type program?

thanks

It is a "proper" cadet program, just like the good old days. Only open to UAE nationals though.

Yes EK380 it is a cadet programme only open to UAE nationals, but they have not discounted ex-pat cadets in the future.
It depends on demand and how this cadet programme goes.

Who's "They"? There has never been ANY suggestion the Cadet program will be open to non-Nationals.

To be accurate, it is actually an Emirates cadet programme. They spend a couple of years at Flydubai, get a 1000 or so hours on a 737-800 and then transfer to Emirates.

It is not a flydubai cadet programme.

Ellie Vator, so you are saying that they even consider expats for this program, any idea how an expat could apply for it? cause on EKs website it says for locals only, so how do you go forward with it??

thanks

Crazy,

You can't. It is for UAE Nationals only.

Sorry.
