EK real requirements for FO's ?

EK real requirements for FO's ?
Hi everyone,
I applied to Emirates a while ago, when I started my career in aviation.
Now that I have nearly 2000 hours on the bus, I received an email from someone in charge of selections at EK, who invited my in London to attend a "pre selection program".
In his email, this gentleman mentions : "Candidates who are 500hrs or less than our minimum requirements and those who hold a CPL or Frozen ATPL are eligible to attend"
Are they desperate enough to contact people with "only" 2000 hours ?
