QR guys keep an eye on your pay slips...

Just received my pay slip for this month and the indian genius who is in payroll (not being racist don't slap me, just facts ) decided that as salary was paid yesterday (27th) it was not paid in full only average of 27 days (shorter than feb, that they pulled the same trick). So according to what they said next month they should re imburse this money. But you don't have to be a genius to know that they are making a lot of money by delaying 3 days of salary to all QR employees, is this an act of stupidity or felony????

Not racist? So if he'd been from Surrey you would have written "The English genius"?

Even if you had, why?

My Pay is Fine as well… as usual.. on time all the time

it feels good to work (if you want to call it that) and not have to worry about silly things.. like if the company you work for is going to pay you properly and in a timely fashion, or not.

and before anyone (and we know who i mean) gets carried away about my loose term "being paid properly" I mean to say, i agree to work (if you want to call it that) for what i was offered, and when i do the job i receive what i agreed upon…. on time, all the time

Sorry, but can someone explain to me how you get 21 days ? I get a basic, travel allowance, flight pay and allowances for food away. How do you get a daily rate ? Looked at mine for the last few months and this months and the basic has always been the same regardless of what month it has been ?

Anyone got any idea if this soooo called pay rise is going to happen, and if so when. Heard from a few good sources that its coming ?

Do you still believe in a salary increase B.Pudding?
You probably won't get any salary increase.., but instead, with the oil price going up, Dollar& Riyal going down,i think a nice inflation rate is probably just around the corner waiting for us...
So what i noticed for the last 3..4 years is actually a salary ""decrease"":
-Riyal going down.!
-inflation going up.!
-Schedule Block time reduced! (how many unsufficient block time do we face when we fly...),combined with more delays.
-As this is not bad enough on top of the unsufficent block time (due to the high cost of fuel now), they reduce cost index to make the flight even a little bit longer..(so now we are working even a little bit more for free..!).
-Lets see the next cut...
This seems nothing but step by step our salary is slowly but surely and viciously eroded years after years..
I don't known how do you call it ..But for me working more for less money never sounds good...

Mine is correct too.

As an aside and in view of the weak dollar, anyone know how the exchange rate protection works?

If i remember well..ERP ""protects"" only 30% of your basic salary AND up to a max of 15% devaluation...(or vice&versa for the figure..).The reference exchange rate used everymonth for the calculation of the ERP is the exchange rate for the same period 5 years ago.So to make it short..its peanuts compared to the loss we made.

I'm sure they are, but why is their race worth mentioning?
